This is part of an ongoing series of posts where I try to highlight delightful features (👈 check link for others). Delightful features are ones that I select, typically because of usability wins. Ways in which software can delight us for how they make our lives easy and get the job done with little fuss. Or just spark joy.
This post and video is not so much about a single feature but a series of them. I still focus on and demo a set of capabilities that are tightly bound together. The scenario is essentially to build a focused Copilot Agent in a very simple, intuitive way. It allows one to query and retrieve data from a specific knowledge source. That is, it’s an Agent with very specific grounding.
The beauty of this solution is the ease with which you can build it and deploy it for a very specific purpose. Agent Builder is a way to extend Copilot for Microsoft 365 and makes use of Copilot Studio.
This is such a simple and delightful way to extend basic functionality, foundational let’s say. You can go much further with integration’s to third party technology platforms and then onto specific actions. Below is some documentation that explains the basics of Copilot extensibility and how to use Agent Builder.

The main audience for this very simple scenario is business users that don’t have advance “pro” development skills. In other words, this is a low/no code approach to extending Copilot to meet basic business needs.
