This guide is born out of my work at Microsoft (disclosure) and beyond. No sensitive information is shared in this guide.
These are short, informative guides created using Canva and made available in PDF files you can download and read on the go (they are optimised for mobile). Here is a post on how to best read them. They are different to my trend reports which are slightly more detailed and longer pieces of content. I put effort into researching and creating them (and brevity and simplicity sometimes take greater effort), so I ask for a small donation that will be put to good use. In turn, expect to learn something new or different.
For this guide, I share ways Microsoft technologies could be considered in supporting hackathons based on customer work. I also share the way Microsoft approaches them. I have participated in several too, even won in some (documented here). As I have learned a lot about what works, I captured it all in this guide.
Download the PDF file below. You can view it as you wish but it has been optimised for viewing on a mobile phone. There is also an optimal way to view a PDF on a mobile phone – explained here. Happy reading.
