In this short demo I’m using Outlook Web App with Bing and ChatGPT embedded alongside an open email in an Edge browser session. I’m showing how I can get help from Generative AI in composing an email that I would send to a customer, for example.
This is coming to other Microsoft tools as I already covered in this post: Real-World Applications of Generative AI – Sales.
The difference here is that I can bring this Bing/ChatGPT functionality to any content creation tool I am working on in the browser, WordPress, Microsoft Teams, etc. So there is real possibility here. Here is how to enable this:
- First you may need to ask for access for access and get on a waitlist from Bing.com.
- Once you do have access you should notice that the Discover widget in the Edge sidebar will ask if you want to replace it with the new Bing + ChatGPT search – more on widgets in the sidebar here: The new sidebar in Microsoft Edge helps you multitask smarter – Microsoft Edge Blog (windows.com)
- If you really need to know about Outlook on the Web there is more following the link.
